Description
I am fascinated by the path that rivers cut across the landscape, their winding route, hard up against farming lands. In this painting, like its sister ‘Ploughlines & Rock Pools’, I have collaged found and hand painted papers including maps into the layers of acrylic paint and used the chevron pattern to depict the plough lines made by machinery on the river flats and stencils of text for the branding marks used on livestock.
